Liquid hydrogen plant plans unveiled for North America

The North American hydrogen market is set to benefit from yet another 30-tonnes-per-day hydrogen liquefaction facility.

US-based Saulsbury on Monday (Oct 20) confirmed such plans, having been awarded a pre-front end engineering and design (FEED) study contract for the plant.

It is believed the contact was awarded from a major US-based utility provider.

Chart Industries has also teamed up with Saulsbury on the effort, having been appointed as the technology and equipment provider for the project.

On the news, Sean Trotter, Vice-President of Engineering and EPC Projects at Saulsbury, said, “Chart’s long-standing reputation as a leading technology provider for the hydrogen liquefaction industry coupled with Saulsbury’s extensive experience in overall facility design and integration will create an ideal partnership for this opportunity.
