BetterHubs targets ‘dozens of US hydrogen hubs’

February 6, 2023

The Environmental Defence Fund (EDF) has launched a new initiative, BetterHubs, to provide for hydrogen hubs across the US.

BetterHubs aims to provide resources and a set of core objectives for ‘dozens of hydrogen hubs’, carbon capture hubs and other energy projects.

The initiative has developed a set of core objectives to help governments, companies, investors and local communities, that seek to raise expectations for hub projects and set a new standard for clean industrial development.

BetterHubs can help hub stakeholders to monitor and mitigate climate pollutant emissions; track, minimise and mitigate local and international environmental impacts, responsibly and efficiently site and resource hub operations, and demonstrate safe and effective carbon management from capture to sequestration where applicable.
